The permanent file storage for your account is located on the
A disk. These files will remain on the disk when you log off. Each user also has a temporary file space called the
Z disk. These files will be deleted when you log off.
A file is
referenced using three pieces of information: the file name, file type, and file
location. A Focus executable file, for example, might be referred to as REPORT
REPORT is the filename, FOCEXEC is the file type which in this case
is a Focus executable, and A is the disk on which the files are located.
